Attics, basements, and garages have served as resting places for original nazi war souvenirs, booty, trophies, and collectibles liberated by soldiers during the war with Hitler. Each item had a story, like the GI who picked up a pistol from a dead German Waffen SS officer, took a nazi flag from a town square, or found Hitler's personal copy of Mein Kampf from his night stand at the Berghoff. Even after all these years nazi relics still capture our imagination.

A splendid, faithful reproduction of the extremely scarce 1939 German ,,Kleiner Prospekt’’ or small brochure designed to sell consumers on the original Volkswagen, the ,,Kraft durch Freude’’ (KdF or “Strength Through Joy”) car. The most beautifully illustrated of the pre-war VW brochures, this one contains an excellent full-page, full-color illustration of a man in front of a typical Nazi Siedlungshaus admiring the new ,,Käfer’’ (Beetle) while a small boy playing with a canon on the opposite side, takes time to do the same.

A magnificent, faithful reproduction of the original 1939 German sales brochure for the original Volkswagen, the "Kraft durch Freude'' (KdF or “Strength Through Joy”) car. A masterpiece of early automotive art, the full-color cover depicts the first “Käfer” (or beetle) against a backdrop of the Alps and a savings stamp book that was required to purchase one of the little cars. Inside, there are many highly detailed full-page and half-page photographs showing German Chancellor Adolf Hitler, Dr. Porsche and every aspect of the innovative little machines. The text explains the car’s function, features, standard equipment, cost prices, model options, purchase contract, delivery terms, etc. The English language translation is on the first and last two pages so that it can easily be removed without damaging the original brochure.
