Blue Max Reproduction Medal
The exquisite gold finish and the actual shade of blue enamel makes these finely crafted replicas (in size and detail) ideal for display or wear. Comes with suspension ring and neck ribbon display piece approx. 10 inches long. (Additional ribbon available.) Established as a Prussian military merit award in 1667 by Elector Frederick of Prussia and revised in 1810 by King Frederick William III for outstanding bravery on the battlefield. Awarded during WWI to famous aviators such as "the Red Baron" and Herman Goering and has not been awarded since 1918.
