Blademaker - Nazi war regalia

Prior to 1936, Third Reich edged weapon manufacturers placed their logo (known as a maker mark) on the reverse of their blades. In 1935, manufacturers reluctantly began to replace their logos with the codes assigned to them by the RZM Office. The RZM code was used on political blades and not used on military blades. Maker marks continued to be used on Army, Navy and Luftwaffe edged weapons until blade production ceased in 1941 (swords) and 1942 (daggers).

Attics, basements, and garages have served as resting places for original nazi war souvenirs, booty, trophies, and collectibles liberated by soldiers during the war with Hitler. Each item had a story, like the GI who picked up a pistol from a dead German Waffen SS officer, took a nazi flag from a town square, or found Hitler's personal copy of Mein Kampf from his night stand at the Berghoff. Even after all these years nazi relics still capture our imagination.
