My lawyer writes: Michael I think they would have to prove that you are deliberately attempting to market your products in Germany itself in knowing violation of their law. Merely having a website on the internet that Germans can access isn't good enough. Also, if you have never sold or shipped to anyone in Germany, I really do not see how they can make the argument that you have submitted to the jurisdiction of the German courts. Even if you have, I can't see how they could possibly convince an American court to extradite you to Germany to face a criminal prosecution, if that's what they are alleging. If they are seeking a civil judgment, they could get one there, but would have no means of enforcing it here. They could hire an attorney here and try to sue you here, but that's not likely to happen because our courts aren't subject to German law. They are merely trying to intimidate you into closing your business. However, I'd recommend you to probably never travel to Germany. "No worries I will never cross the US continental border anywhere under any circumstances.
